Head Veterinary Technician
Caitlin has 6 years of large animal veterinary experience in private practice and in academia. Prior to joining us, she worked in a mixed animal practice as a large animal veterinary assistant in Blairsville, GA while attending college. Upon moving to Athens, she worked in an academic setting at the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine for 8 months. Here is her biography:
My name is Caitlin Edison and I have been in love with animals longer than I can remember. Veterinary Medicine is the great passion of my life. I personally own a horse, donkey, two Labradors and a cat. I first attended college at Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia and received an Associate of Science in International Business. While pursuing this degree I was lucky enough to meet Dr. Michael Zager of North Georgia Veterinary Service. I began working for Dr. Zager as a Large Animal Veterinary Technician and under his wisdom and tutelage I realized I found my calling in veterinary medicine. I was blessed to continue working with him at his mixed animal practice for the next six years. I continued my college education at North Georgia College and State University where I received a Bachelors of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, with the intention of one day finishing college and become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. While attending school I helped start an Intercollegiate Equestrian Team. Today my passions are the wonderful horses of Silk Purse Farm in Crawford, Georgia and the new love of my life, my orange tabby Seamus O’Toole. I hope to share my knowledge and zeal of Veterinary Medicine with the clients of Crossroads Veterinary Service. I look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have.
